Final Evaluation Report for the Canutillo Teen Wellness Initiative
Helix Solutions has recently released their latest evaluation report, entitled “Lessons Learned Implementing Evidence-Base Sexual Health Curricula in West Texas Schools.” The report summarizes Project Vida Health Center’s “Canutillo Teen Wellness Initiative,” a two-year project (July 2019 to June 2021) that implemented a holistic approach to mitigate risky behaviors and unintended teenage pregnancy among Canutillo ISD middle and high school students. The project was supported by Grant Number TP1AH000196 from the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Population Affairs (OPA). The report details evaluation research methods and findings as well as discusses several lessons learned when implementing the project during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would like to thank Project Vida Health Center, Nancy Torres at Canutillo ISD, Dr. Jane Choi at Mathematica, Dr. Jeff Sirkin at the University of Texas at El Paso, and Robert McCreary. I truly appreciate your expertise and feedback, and we hope to collaborate with each of you again in the near future.
